Police are investigating the weekend fatal shooting of a Copiague cabdriver.

Juan Rosario, 19, was found shot to death at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, slumped over his steering wheel after going to 42nd Street in Copiague to pick up a fare, Suffolk County police said.

A representative from 5 Star Taxi Services in Copiague on Monday hung up when called the first time and then said, "We don't want to talk about it." When asked if he were a supervisor or boss, he said "yes" but declined to identify himself.

Rosario, of Copiague, was found in an unmarked silver Chrysler minivan. He was pronounced dead at the scene by an official from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical examiner.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the Homicide Squad, 631-852-6392, or Crime Stoppers, 800-220-8477. All calls will remain confidential.
