A Suffolk County police helicopter and K-9 units are searching an area of Medford near Route 112 and Granny Road following an early morning 911 call Tuesday reporting an armed robbery at a Gulf gas station, police told Newsday.

The call reporting the robbery was received at 4:26 a.m., police said. Police said it does not appear anyone was injured.

The gas station is southeast of the intersection of Route 112 and Granny Road, near the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
