Cops probe Huntington Station shooting

A man was shot in Huntington Station Tuesday night, and Suffolk police were searching for the shooter late into the night.

The victim, 27, was shot in the chest and leg on Railroad Street about 7:30 p.m., police said.

He was taken to Huntington Hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition late Tuesday, police said.

The circumstances of the shooting was not clear, police. A police spokeswoman said other details were not immediately available.
