Two men who burst into a North Amityville house late Saturday and robbed a resident at gunpoint are still at large, authorities said Sunday.

Around 10:35 p.m., Suffolk police said, the two men kicked in the side door of a house on Somerset Road North and, finding a resident inside, threatened her with handguns.

Authorities said the men stole cash and a cell phone from the resident, then ran out of the back of the house.

The resident, 41, was not hurt, officials said.

One of the men was described as about 6 feet tall, bald, wearing a dark T-shirt and brandishing a silver gun, investigators said. The other was described as 5-feet, 5-inches tall with black hair, between 25 to 30 years old, and carrying a black gun.

Detectives ask anyone with information about this burglary to contact police anonymously via the Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-220-TIPS.
