Cops probe Shirley crash with overturned car

Emergency responders were called to the scene of a two-car crash in Shirley Wednesday morning to rescue occupants of an overturned vehicle, Suffolk County police said.

Police said it was not immediately clear how many people were trapped and the extent of the injuries also was not known. But police said Emergency Services Unit personnel were at the scene at the intersection of Linden Avenue and Concord Road.

The crash occurred at 9:17 a.m., police said.
