Police are trying to determine what led to a man being stabbed early Monday in North Lindenhurst.

Suffolk County police said they received a 911 call at 3:02 a.m., reporting that a man had been stabbed at Sunrise Highway At 3:20 a.m., a second 911 call reported the man was at Dylan Place in Melville, police said.

Officers found the man, whose identity has not been released, at the Melville location.

He was transported to Nassau University Medical Center. His condition is not known.

Police said the original call came from a restaurant called Cosita Rica. They said the man apparently got into a car after the call was placed and was driven to the location where he was later found by police.
