Police are investigating the Thursday afternoon robbery of a West Babylon bank.

A man entered Roslyn Savings Bank, 653 Montauk Hwy., "and approached a teller at 1:25 p.m. with a note demanding cash," Suffolk Police said.

The teller gave cash to the robber, who left and fled west.

He was described as about 6 feet tall, in his late 50s to early 60s, with a husky build. He wore faded blue jeans, white sneakers, a blue ski hat, a dark jacket with a zipper and a dark turtleneck underneath.

Anyone with information urged to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800-220-TIPS.
