Suffolk County police rescued a kitten from a storm drain in Mastic on Thursday.

Police said officers responded to a 911 call around 11:22 a.m. and found the kitten stuck in the drain on Bonny Drive at Hoover Court. Police removed the grate and managed to set the cat free in about 30 minutes.

A Bonny Drive resident took the kitten, police said.
