A Mastic man faces robbery and impersonating a police officer charges after he robbed another man in a Mastic parking lot Sunday night, Suffolk County police said.

Eric Casimiro, 23, of 4 Franklin Ct., robbed a 20-year-old man in the parking lot of Shop With Us, 1088 Mastic Rd., a convenience and grocery store, at about 11 p.m., police said.

Police did not say whether Casimiro was armed but he told the victim he was a police officer and that the victim should put his hands on his car, in a prone position, a spokeswoman said.

Police did not have information on what Casimiro stole from his victim, the spokeswoman said, or details on his arrest.

Casimiro is charged with robbery and criminal impersonation, police said. He also faces a burglary charge for an unrelated incident earlier Sunday, police said.

Arraignment information was not immediately available.
