A robber forced his way into a Tanger Outlets Riverhead store Wednesday morning, tied up an employee, then took off in her car, Riverhead Town Police said.

The employee at the Aldo shoe store was opening the front door about 9 a.m. when the suspect put an unknown object to the back of her head, police said. He took cash from the store, at 1770 W. Main St., and tied up the woman, police said.

The robber drove off in her 2012 Hyundai Elantra, police said.
