Police are searching for robbers who forced two pharmacy employees to open a safe, stealing cash, then bound their hands before fleeing the scene early Friday in East Islip.

The robbery took place at the CVS pharmacy on West Main Street at 1:25 a.m., Suffolk County police said.

Police said two robbers wearing hoodies and masks entered the store, forced the two store employees -- one male, one female -- into the office, where the store manager gave them cash from the safe. The suspects then bound the hands of the employees and fled, police said.
