A 27-year-old man was shot in both legs in Ronkonkoma during an argument Friday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

Police received a call about the shooting on Chestnut Avenue at 3:25 p.m. The victim was shot once in each leg and taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Fourth Squad detectives are investigating.

No further information was immediately available.
