Stopped on the Sagtikos Parkway Wednesday afternoon for driving without a seat belt, a Ronkonkoma woman wound up in jail - charged with possession of marijuana and an illegal weapon, State Police said.

State Police said Linda J. Behrens was arrested at about 3 p.m. Wednesday following the traffic stop on the Sagtikos.

A trooper smelled marijuana and found "a small quantity" inside the vehicle, according to a statement on the State Police Web site. A dagger also was seized.

Behrens was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and operating without a seat belt.

She is scheduled for arraignment in First District Court, Central Islip, on March 24.
