A man was shot in the leg as he stood in the doorway of his apartment in Bay Shore early Friday morning, police said.

Suffolk County police said they are still searching for the shooter, but could provide no additional details -- citing the continuing investigation.

Police said the shooting occurred at 1:04 a.m. at an apartment on Hemlock Drive.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was taken to Southside Hospital and was treated for what police termed non-life-threatening injuries.
