Cops search for West Babylon bank robber
Major Case detectives are looking for a man who robbed a West Babylon bank in December, Suffolk County police said Wednesday.
On Thursday, Dec. 23 at 1:30 p.m., "the man entered the Roslyn Savings Bank on Montauk Highway and appeared to fill out a slip at the customer service station for several moments before proceeding to a teller station," police said in a news release.
The man gave a teller a brown paper bag with a note demanding cash stapled to it, police said. The teller complied with the demand, and the suspect left through the front door with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police have released photographs of the suspect from video surveillance cameras.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
