Cops seek driver in Bay Shore hit-run that injured pedestrian
Suffolk County police said they are looking for the driver of a gray Nissan Maxima who seriously injured a pedestrian earlier this month in Bay Shore.
The Nissan, a 1999 to 2002 model, was driving eastbound on Main Street near Brentwood Road about 4:40 p.m. on March 5 when it hit a 83-year-old woman, police said Monday.
The rearview mirror on the passenger side was missing, police said.
The woman suffered a severe head injury and the motorists drove away, police said.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477, police said, and they could get a reward of up to $5,000 if the information leads to an arrest.
