Cops seek gunman in road rage dispute
Authorities are seeking a man who opened fire on a truck in Wheatley Heights after a road rage dispute, Suffolk police said.
No one was injured but the man fired five shots at a box truck on Straight Path at 12:15 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Juan Estrada, 54, of Brooklyn, was driving a 2003 Isuzu box truck north when he was cut off by a black GMC SUV, police said. When both drivers stopped at a light, a verbal altercation took place, police said.
Estrada continued north on Straight Path, but the driver of the GMC turned left on to Brown Boulevard, got out and fired five times at the box truck, police said.
Detectives asked that anyone with information call the First Squad at 631-854-8152 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
