Cops seek Hauppauge bank robber

Suffolk County detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Hauppauge.
A man entered the HSBC bank branch, located at 660 Motor Pkwy., approached a teller, and produced a note demanding cash, police said in a news release.
The teller complied and gave the suspect cash from a drawer at about 2 p.m., police said. The man fled on foot eastbound on Motor Parkway.
The robber is described as 25 to 35 years old, about 5 feet, 1 inch to 5 feet, 3 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and a black-and-white striped baseball hat, police said.
No additional information was immediately available.
