Cops seek help in fatal hit-run probe
Suffolk County police are asking for the public's help in finding the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed a man in Selden on Oct. 1.
The fatal hit-and-run occurred at about 7:30 p.m. as Marijan Crnkovic was attempting to cross Middle Country Road.
The accident was just east of Selden Court, police said.
The eastbound vehicle never stopped, police said, and Crnkovic was later pronounced dead at Stony Brook University Medical Center.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the fatal hit-and-run to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
All callers will remain anonymous and callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest, police said.
