Cops seek man suspected of throwing punch that fractured another's jaw
Police are searching for a man who punched another man in the jaw outside a bar in Hauppauge on Sunday, breaking the victim's jaw.
Suffolk County police said the assault occurred outside The Mixx, on Adams Avenue, at about 2 a.m. Aug. 9.
The 21-year-old victim, whose identity was not released, sustained a fractured jaw, police said. A motive for the altercation was not immediately available Friday.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
