Cops seek man who robbed Capital One in Lindenhurst
Suffolk County police have released a surveillance image of a man they said is a suspect in a Lindenhurst bank robbery. Police are looking for a man who robbed a Lindenhurst bank Saturday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.
They said the man entered the Capital One at 300 S. Wellwood Ave. shortly after noon and handed a teller a note demanding cash.
The bank teller emptied the cash drawer, handed over the money and the man fled north on Wellwood, police said.
Police described the suspect as about 5 feet, 10 inches tall with dark hair, facial hair and a medium build. He was wearing jeans and a black long sleeve shirt, police said.
Authorities asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
