Cops seek man who swiped wallet in Selden
The Sixth Precinct Crime Section is looking for a man who swiped a wallet containing more than $200 from the counter of a Selden gas station in September, Suffolk County police said.
Police released photographs Wednesday of the suspect, taken from video surveillance cameras at the Valero station on Middle Country Road.
Police also released photos of a silver or gray Dodge Stratus that the suspect was believed to be driving.
On Sept. 27, the suspect entered the station and took a wallet that had been left on the counter. Later, the wallet was found on Nichols Road but it was missing $225 in cash, police said.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
