One woman was hospitalized with minor injuries after a six-vehicle accident late Wednesday night near the intersection of the eastbound Long Island Expressway service road and Nicolls Road in Holtsville, police said.

Suffolk County police said no one was charged in the accident, but said detectives are searching for a male motorcyclist who was involved -- and who fled the scene on foot.

The motorcycle was impounded, police said.

Police said the crash occurred on northbound Nicolls at 9:58 p.m. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

One woman, whose identity was not released, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with what police described as "minor injuries."

No one else was hospitalized, according to police.
