Cops seek suspect in attempted larceny at West Islip drugstore

First Squad detectives are looking for a woman who used a stolen credit card to try to make a purchase at a West Islip drugstore in May, Suffolk County police said.

On May 31, a Lindenhurst woman reported to police that her pocketbook had been stolen from her car, which was parked in her driveway overnight.

Later that day, the woman learned someone tried to use a credit card that had been in her wallet to make a purchase at the CVS store at 460 Montauk Hwy., police said. The transaction was denied and the incident also was reported to police.

Police have released photographs of the suspect from video surveillance at the store.
