Cops seek suspect in bank robbery in North Babylon
Pattern Crime Unit detectives are seeking information about a Wednesday morning bank robbery in North Babylon, Suffolk County police said.
A man described as thin-built and about 6 feet tall entered the Chase Bank at 35 Woods Rd., at 9:43 a.m., and "approached a teller with a note demanding cash and indicating that he had a gun," police said.
After the teller gave him cash, the man -- in a dark, knit cap, dark jacket and blue jeans -- fled north on foot on Woods Road, police said.
Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800-220-TIPS.
