Cops seek suspect in Brentwood bank robbery
Suffolk County police are searching for a man who, wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses and threatening use of a gun, robbed a bank earlier this month in Brentwood.
The robbery occurred at the Capital One Bank branch on Washington Avenue at about 9:50 a.m. on Aug. 1, police said.
Police said the man handed a teller a demand note, then fled on foot with cash.
It was not clear how much was taken. No one was injured.
Police said the man wore a navy blue hat and sunglasses.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.
