Police are seeking help finding a "known female suspect" who they say stole a credit card from a woman's purse at a Hauppauge night club and tried to use it to buy a bottle of champagne.

Florangel Escobosa took the purse at about 1 a.m. on Sept. 28 at Silk at 573 Nesconset Hwy., Suffolk police said in an early Friday news release. She took a credit card from the purse and tried to buy the champagne at the bar, police said.

Escobosa, 21, whose last known residence was in the Brentwood area, has a medium complexion with brown hair and brown eyes. She weighs about 150 pounds and is about 5 feet, 4 inches tall.

Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call 800-220-TIPS anonymously. For information that leads to an arrest, there is a reward of up to $5,000.
