State Police are looking for a vehicle in connection with a hit-and-run rollover accident that seriously injured a woman early Thursday on Sunrise Highway near Hampton Bays.

Kathleen Daley, 53, of East Moriches, was driving a pickup truck in the eastbound, right lane of Sunrise Highway at 7:30 a.m. when an unknown vehicle struck her truck from the left, according to a police spokesman.

Daley's vehicle rolled several times, the spokesman said, causing multiple broken bones. The crash occurred just east of Exit 65, Hampton Bays.

Her dark blue Ford may have been struck by a pickup truck or sport utility vehicle, police said, and that vehicle may have sustained passenger-side damage. Daley's truck "was so damaged we can't tell what color the other vehicle was," the spokesman said Friday.

Daley was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she remained hospitalized Friday.

State Police ask anyone who witnessed the accident or who has additional information to call the Riverside station at 631-208-9002.
