Cops seek West Islip hit-and-run vehicle
Suffolk County police are still seeking the car involved in a New Year's Eve hit-and-run in West Islip that left a male teenager critically injured.
Police released more information Friday on the car that struck the pedestrian at 10:26 p.m. on Udall Road.
The car, believed to be a blue late-model Chrysler 300, would have incurred damage to the driver's side headlight assembly and the driver's side-view mirror, police said.
Police are not releasing the age or identity of the teenager, who was found lying unconscious on the road after the crash.
The teen was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Islip, where he was listed in critical condition. Police declined to update his condition Friday.
