Suffolk police have been trying to capture a serial bank robber who struck again Sunday in Lake Ronkonkoma.

The man, who has robbed three other banks since September, went into the TD Bank at 474 Portion Rd. about 1:15 p.m. and demanded money at gunpoint, police said.

The teller complied, and the robber ran away, police said.

Police said the robber is the same man who twice robbed the New York Commercial Bank, 720 Grand Blvd. in Deer Park, first on Sept. 5, then on Oct. 11. During the September robbery, the suspect had a gun, police said.

On Oct. 27, he robbed the TD Bank, at 1361 Deer Park Ave. in North Babylon, and also showed his gun, police said.

The suspect appears to be in his mid 30s to late 40s, with a thin build and light complexion, about 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, police said.

The cases are being investigated by the Suffolk police pattern crime unit. Detectives ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
