A Setauket man was arrested Monday afternoon on child porn charges after detectives "seized a computer and external hard drives" from his home "that contained pornographic videos involving children," police said.

Philip Nicolopoulos, 48, of 27 Branch Lane, surrendered to police at the Sixth Precinct in Selden at 3:05 p.m. and was charged with two counts of possession of sexual performance by a child, Suffolk County Police said in a news release.

Nicolopoulos, who police said lives about a half mile from Arrowhead Elementary School in East Setauket, will be held overnight and is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.

The alleged discovery of pornographic videos with children led to the suspect's arrest, police said.
