Cops: Shot fired in Coram book store robbery

Two men, armed with handguns, robbed a book and apparel store in Coram Wednesday night, stealing cash, electronic devices and a wallet before firing a shot into the store floor and then fleeing on foot, police said.
Suffolk County police said no one was injured in the incident at East Harlem Books & Apparel on Route 25 at 7:38 p.m.
Police said investigators believe the store was targeted.
The assailants, their faces covered, stole $400, assorted electronic devices and the wallet, police said. During the robbery "one of the men fired a single shot into the floor inside the store," police said.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
