Cops: Speeder charged with drunken driving

Stopped for speeding early Monday on Route 25 in Cutchogue, a Mattituck man ended up arrested and charged with drunken driving, police said.

Scott Anderson, 24, of Donna Drive, was stopped at 1:20 a.m. after an officer spotted him speeding, Southold Town police said. A subsequent field sobriety test found Anderson was intoxicated, police said.

Anderson was charged with aggravated DWI and held for arraignment Monday.
