Cops: St. James man charged with shoplifting from Walmart

A St. James man was arrested in upstate Big Flats Saturday afterd he shoplifted about $1,500 worth of video games from a Walmart, police said.

Joseph Hernandez, 27, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, State Police said. He was arraigned in the Town of Horseheads Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 property bond.

Police said he shoplifted the games from the Walmart on County Road 46. It was not immediately clear where he was arrested.
