Cops: Driver airlifted to hospital after truck hits pole
A pickup truck driver was “seriously injured” after hitting a pole in Manorville just after 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.
“The victim was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries,” police said in a statement.
“It doesn’t appear that there were was any criminality,” the statement added.
Moriches-Middle Island Road at Cranford Avenue was closed after the accident, and reopened around 8 p.m.
