Suffolk County police on Friday released a photo of a grand larceny suspect who used a stolen credit card at two convenience stores this summer, and they have asked for the public's help identifying and finding the person in the surveillance camera image.

The first larceny took place at 2:35 a.m. Aug. 9 at a 7-Eleven at 500 Islip Ave., in Islip Terrace, where the suspect used a card that had been stolen in a burglary earlier the same morning, police said. The suspect left the store with $223 in merchandise and cash, police said.

The second crime took place about two hours later that day when the suspect tried to use a stolen credit card at a 7-Eleven on New York Avenue in Huntington, but the transaction was denied, police said.

Crime Stoppers accepts confidential information by phone at 800-220-TIPS.
