Cops: Suspected drunken driver hits police car

A suspected drunken driver plowed his 2004 BMW into the back of a parked Southampton Town Police cruiser over the weekend, police said.

Michael Feigenbaum, 48, was going west on Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton around 1:40 a.m. Saturday when he drove off the road and hit the cruiser, which had its emergency lights on during a vehicle stop, police said.

An officer was in the passenger seat of the cruiser at the time. He was taken to Southampton Hospital, where he was treated for injuries and released.

Feigenbaum, of Bridgehampton, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. He refused a chemical blood test.
