A Hampton Bays teenager broke into two homes and a deli in November, Southampton Town Police said Monday.

Alexander L. Thomas, 17, was arrested Nov. 25 after neighbors reported a break-in at a home on Williams Street in Hampton Bays, police said.

Police arriving at the scene found broken glass from a window and saw someone inside the home. The suspect ran off, but officers eventually arrested Thomas on charges of criminal mischief, criminal trespassing, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.

Thomas also is charged with two felony counts of burglary, and is accused of breaking into a home on Columbine Avenue North on Nov. 17, and a deli on Montauk Highway on Nov. 15, police said.

Thomas is being held on bail of $20,000 cash or $150,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan 4.
