A Deer Park teen was walking with three friends early Sunday when he was shot in the arm, police said.

Authorities were called to the scene at Scott and Tell avenues in Deer Park at 12:03 a.m., Suffolk County police said.

The victim, 16, was walking with three male friends, all between the ages of 18 and 20, when they heard several nearby gunshots. As the group fled, the victim realized he had been struck, police said.

The Deer Park Fire Department ambulance took the victim to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was listed in stable condition Sunday morning, police said.
