Cops: Three teens charged in Brentwood graffiti

Darrell Lowe, 19, Carlos Hernandez, 17 and Willd Cruz, 19 all of Brentwood. Hernandez, of Kopf Street, was charged with two counts of making graffiti, while Lowe, of Whalen Court, was arrested in connection with 11 outstanding warrants for making graffiti, Suffolk police said. Cruz, whose address was not available, was charged with possession of a graffiti instrument, Suffolk police said.
The three of them tagged buildings, with graffiti that read: "Smokey," "Astro," "Khaos" and "WBV," police said.
Now the trio has been arrested on graffiti-related charges for tagging property at various locations in Brentwood on Sunday and Monday, police said.
Arrested were Willd Cruz, 19, Darrell Lowe, 19, and Carlos Hernandez, 17, all of Brentwood, Suffolk County police said. Hernandez, of Kopf Street, was charged with two counts of making graffiti, while Lowe, of Whalen Court, was arrested in connection with 11 outstanding warrants for making graffiti. Cruz, whose address was not available, was charged with possession of a graffiti instrument.
Cruz was issued a desk appearance ticket and will be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on Oct. 6.
Hernandez is scheduled for arraignment Tuesday, while Lowe was arraigned Monday following his arrest. Details of his arraignment were not immediately available Tuesday.
Police said the incidents took place on Kaymac Street near Jewel Street in Brentwood.
The charges against Hernandez also included making graffiti on the Iglesia Del Vio Church, police said.
Police said the trio call themselves "WBV" - short for "We Bomb Vandals" - and that Cruz used the tag "Smokey," while Lowe used "Astro" and Hernandez used "Khaos."
