A Florida man was high on drugs as he drove a tractor trailer Monday morning on the Long Island Expressway in Manorville, Suffolk County police said.

Christopher Harris, 42, of Lake Mary, Fla., is charged with driving while his ability was impaired by drugs and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, police said. He also was issued a summons for failing to maintain his lane.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.

Highway Patrol Officer Daniel Gilroy pulled over the truck after police received several 911 calls reporting a tractor trailer swerving and driving erratically on the eastbound LIE, between exits 70 and 71, Manorville and Calverton, police said.

Gilroy determined Harris was under the influence of drugs and arrested him, police said.

The truck, owned by B&H East Coast Trucking of Queens, was carrying plants, police said.
