Spurred by complaints from residents, First Squad detectives investigated a North Amityville home Tuesday afternoon, arresting two men on drug charges, Nassau County police said.
Residents had reported "an unusual volume of vehicular and pedestrian traffic" at 47 Brandon Ave., police said in a news release, which led to them executing a search warrant at the residence on Tuesday at 3:47 p.m.
During the search, crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of cash were found in the home, police said.
Rashawn Pernell, 21, who lives in the home, and Ranell Brooks, 19, of 232 42nd St., Copiague, were arrested, police said. Each is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
They were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
