Cops: Two sought after Amityville assault
Suffolk County police are searching for two men who allegedly assaulted a third man with a weapon in Amityville early Sunday morning.
Police said the victim was involved in an altercation with two other men in front of El Rodeo restaurant on Broadway at about 4 a.m.
The victim was struck with an unknown type of weapon, after which he went to his home in North Amityville, police said.
A family member called an ambulance, and the victim was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
No one has been arrested, and the investigation is continuing.
