Cops: Two taken to hospital after Shirley crash

A Wednesday night accident in Shirley left two people hospitalized with what police called non-life-threatening injuries.
Suffolk County police said the crash, involving two vehicles, occurred on the northbound William Floyd Parkway near Dawn Drive at 9:07 p.m.
Two people were transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, police said.
Their conditions were not known on Thursday and police have not released their identities. Police said the investigation was continuing Thursday.
