Two teenagers were hurt after a shooting outside a house party in Bay Shore early Sunday, Suffolk police said.

The party, at a home on Manatuck Boulevard, was dispersing at around 2:40 a.m. when the shooting occurred.

Det. Sgt. William Rand of the Third Squad said that it appeared an argument broke out among several of the partygoers shortly before the shooting.

A 14-year-old Brentwood boy was shot in the arm and a Wyandanch man, 19, suffered a gunshot wound to the ribcage, Rand said. Both were taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where they were treated for the non-life-threatening injuries. Rand said the younger victim was released from the hospital, but the Wyandanch man remains at Southside. Their names were not released.

Rand said it was unclear whether the two were targeted by the gunman.

Anyone with information about the case should contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
