A West Babylon man was arrested on drug and gun possession charges after Suffolk County police detectives served a warrant at his home Friday.

Michael David, 23, of 526 17th St. was arrested following the execution of the search warrant at 12:30 a.m., police said. He was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of forgery devices.

Police said that during the execution of the warrant detectives recovered a .38-caliber handgun, marijuana, a "large quantity" of hallucinogenic mushrooms and assorted drug paraphernalia. A printer and other items "used to produce forged New York State driver licenses" also were seized.

Police said the licenses were "typically sold" to the underaged. David faced arraignment Friday in First District Court in Central Islip, police said.
