A West Babylon bank was robbed Monday by a man who handed a teller a note that said he had a gun, police said.

The note demanded money, and was given to the teller at the Bank of America branch at 560 Montauk Hwy. about 1:30 p.m., police said.

After the teller handed over money, the robber left the bank, police said, adding that no one was injured.

The suspect, was between 25 and 35 years old, about 6 feet tall, and wore a black knit cap, dark sunglasses, a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, and light colored surgical gloves, police said.

Suffolk police asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
