A West Babylon man was arrested and charged with shooting and seriously wounding a Wyandanch man last month, Suffolk police said.
Rodney Davidson, 48, of 136 Cumberbach St., got into an altercation with Keith Garrison on North 15th Street just north of Merritt Avenue in Wyandanch on April 15, pulled a gun and shot Garrison in the neck and back, police said.
Garrison, 33, was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip in serious but stable condition, police said. He has been released and is expected to recover.
Davidson, charged with second-degree assault, was to be arraigned Saturday in First District Court, Central Islip.
