A woman suffered minor burns during a fire Saturday morning at limousine company offices in North Babylon, Suffolk police said.

Firefighters battled the blaze, which was reported at 9:27 a.m., at 956 Sunrise Hwy. Records indicate the structure houses the offices of Gold Star Limousine.

Police initially reported that no one was in the building, but they later said there was a woman, who was transported to an area hospital for her injuries. A police officer at the scene was treated for smoke inhalation, police said.

The fire forced the closure of the East Sunrise Highway Service Road, near Deer Park Avenue. The road was reopened as of 3 p.m., police said.

The cause of the fire does not appear to be criminal, police said.
