Cops: Woman robbed North Patchogue bank
Suffolk County police arrested a Patchogue woman Monday after they say she robbed a North Patchogue bank last year.
Beverly Curcio, 50, faces a third-degree robbery charge after police said she demanded cash from a teller at an Astoria Federal Savings Bank at 718 Rte. 112 on July 21, 2010.
Curcio walked into the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money about 10:35 a.m., police said. The teller complied and gave cash to Curcio, who then fled, police said.
Following an investigation by detectives from the Major Case Investigations Unit, Curcio was arrested.
She will be held overnight by police and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Tuesday, officials said.
Correction: A previous version of this story gave an incorrect date for the robbery.
